Birds have occupied my work since my father, a WWII fighter pilot died. On his death bed, he told me he wanted to come back to this world as a raven. Ravens are extremely intelligent are amazing fliers and love to soar. Birds, along with other species, are in decline and suffering from climate change and habitat loss. For years they just 'showed up' in my life - so I painted them.
